Speedbird Aero authorised to operate drones over people in Brazil

The National Civil Aviation Authority of Brazil (ANAC) has provided a permanent waiver to Speedbird Aero that will enable it to operate drones over people. This is ANAC’s second approval for this type of operation.

The Speedbird authorisation covers a strategic role within the Hermes Pardini Vespasiano Laboratory and its Technical Operational Centre in Minas Gerais. By using the company’s DLV-1 Neo and DLV-2 drones, the project aims to reduce the transport time of laboratory materials and minimise carbon emissions.
