The Joint Authorities for Rulemaking on Unmanned Systems (JARUS) has launched an external consultation for “JARUS OPS Recommendations for UAS Category B Operations“. JARUS Working Group 2 (Operations) has developed the recommendations with the contribution of experts from several JARUS Member States.
The External Consultation will be open until 31 December 2018 at https://ost.eurocontrol.int/sites/rpas/ext_consultations/SitePages/Home.aspx
JARUS is recommending the requirements contained the document references above for global harmonization of rules concerning operations of UAS in Category B (i.e. medium risk). The scope provides material Competent Authorities may use to regulate the operation of unmanned aircraft (UA) in this category, either remotely piloted or autonomous.
“We invite all JARUS stakeholders to provide comments on the document (i.e. the non greyed out portion),” says the organisation. “Please note you must register on “One Sky Team” to access the documents and submit your comments.”
