EUROCAE proposes new remote U-space ID standards to fill in ASTM F3411 “gaps”

EUROCAE’s WG-105 working group has published a report of technical recommendations for alternative exchange mechanisms that could be submitted to EASA, while addressing potential interoperability issues with USSPs using the ASTM F3411-22a protocol.

According to the organisation’s website:

“The goals of the EUROCAE Report will be to propose and justify a minimum set of interfaces for Network Remote Identification data from USSP to USSP inside a U-space, to explain what are the identified issues which cannot be addressed by ASTM F3411-22a specified exchange protocol between USSPs and to provide a technical recommendation about the exchange mechanisms, which could be alternatively used by the industry, and submitted to the EASA, while explaining the potential interoperability issues with USSPs implementing the ASTM F3411-22a protocol.
