The Association for Unmanned Vehicle Systems International (AUVSI) is collaborating with the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) to draft a roadmap for the development and growth of the unmanned aircraft systems sector in the United States. The first draft of the roadmap will be released prior to the Unmanned Aircraft Systems Standardization Collaborative (UASSC) meeting that ANSI is hosting in Washington on September 20. The goal of the document will be to help clarify the current standards landscape, minimize duplication of effort among standards developers and inform standards participation resource allocation. AUVSI’s Trusted Operator Program is leading the way to unify the industry on agreed industry-based standards and best practices.
