Altitude Angel has been named as a partner in the UK Government’s UTM Programme under the governance of Transport Systems Catapult (TSC).
The aim of the programme in UK is to create a UTM framework within which the UTM service providers (UTMSPs) can operate and will investigate how and what information may be exchanged between different UTMSPs and the required data sources so that airspace coordination can be attained to achieve the critical safety requirements.
Altitude Angel will incorporate its GuardianUTM O/S platform in the trials.
Richard Parker, founder and CEO of Altitude Angel, said: “Our ability to utilise existing ATM networks and systems and blend those with the ultra-modern and emerging standards in the drone industry, coupled with our automated ‘air traffic control for drones’ technologies means that more of the skies can be opened up for commercial exploitation, especially when this technology is deployed as the foundation of a new national UTM capability.”
