Italy declares its first U-space airspace area – above San Salvo, Abruzzo

According to UTM industry sources, Italy’s ENAV has published today its first dedicated U-space area, identified as R100/San Salvo U-space, in the Province of Chieti in the Abruzzo region of the country. The U-space airspace will become active from 28 November.

The U-space area covers a height up to 400 ft above ground level and was published as a NOTAM in the country’s Aeronautical Information Publication (AIP), the official document in which the Italian State provides information, rules and procedures.
