The SESAR URClearED research project is holding a virtual open day of real-time simulations on the remain well clear (RWC) concept integration on 1 July 2022.
This event will consist of two sessions, designed to involve two different target audiences.
The first session will be dedicated to the general public, who is interested in the drones domain and in the URClearED mission. This session will present to the audience the real-time simulation exercises carried out in April at CIRA, the Italian Aerospace Research Center (the coordinator) and DLR, the German Aerospace Center premises. The real-time simulation campaigns aimed at validating the Remain Well Clear prototype integration for airspace classes D to G. URClearED experts, involved during the validation exercises, will report their experience and first feedback, throughout videos and interactive sessions.
The Advisory Board meeting will follow the first session, an event reserved to our Advisory Board experts. The meeting will go more deeply into technical details of the simulation campaigns, addressing all the main issues emerged and collecting considerations and precious feedback.
In conclusion, the main objective of the event is to let the public immerse themselves in the Remain Well Clear concept, how it works and how it is being validated in URClearED.
This event is a good opportunity for those involved in the RPAS and/or in the ATC domains to get in touch with the latest research developments and to network with other colleagues and experts.
Moreover, if you are particularly interested in scientific applied research involving conflict resolution algorithms and user interface design for control systems, this event will give you a concrete vision about the RWC potentialities and application scenarios.
