U-ELCOME Project, coordinated by EUROCONTROL with funding from the European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency (CINEA) in cooperation with the SESAR 3 Joint Undertaking will organise in Coruña (Spain) next 31st May and 1st June 2023 the first workshop in Europe on harmonized U-space implementation.
The U-ELCOME project is a Digital Sky Demonstrator and the project’s focus is to accelerate the market uptake of U-space and urban air mobility services ensuring a harmonised approach for a European U-space implementation.
“Drawing on the collective experience gained during the workshop, in the related BURDI and EALU-AER projects and, national schemes, U-ELCOME will produce a handbook for U-space implementation throughout Europe,” said a U-ELCOME press release. “This workshop, hosted by the Instituto Tecnológico de Galicia (ITG), is addressed to all the UAS operators, U-space service suppliers, Common information service suppliers, U-space software suppliers, Competent authorities, Airspace authorities, ANSPs, “privileged” users of U-space such as security forces, ministries or anyone with a significant interest in how U-space is being deployed.
The sessions will address different topics covering: Airspace Risk Assessment, CIS & CISP + impact of Dynamic Airspace Reconfiguration, Network Identification Service, Geo-awareness Service, UAS flight authorisation service & Weather information service, Traffic Information Service & Conformance monitoring and Electronic Conspicuity
