French geospatial services specialist Stratomaps has become the latest member of the Drone Logistics Ecosystem (DLE), a global/virtual network of companies, universities, governments and investors operating in the drone logistics industry.
Stratomaps’ systems and services are specifically designed for drone operators running or looking to run beyond visual line of sight (BVLOS) operations for deliveries and pickups. Stratomaps offers a routing system, which enables operators to automatically find the most optimal route with customisable constraints specific to their mission, aircraft, and geography. For fleets of drones, Stratomaps provides a dispatch optimisation system designed to ensure that the total fleet flight time is minimised in order to maximise the number of deliveries performed while considering various logistical constraints.
Earlier this month, Drone Express became a DLE member. The company’s US-manufactured drones provide deliveries for The Kroger Company, Papa John’s International, Winsupply, and several other retailers.
