The Singapore government announced the launch of a new research agency called Home Team Science and Technology (HTX) focused on safety and security in December 2019. Among initial projects, the agency is reported to be developing a mobile counter-drone vehicle according to a report in the Singapore Straits Times. The Xentinel unit can be operated by one person and is equipped with a radar, camera, and RF jammer which can be used to disable a drone. HTX plans to begin operational trials with the new unit in mid-2020.
