PANSA invites opinions on plans to create a network of UAS competence centres

As part of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan, the Polish Air Navigation Services Agency (PANSA) is preparing a project to create a network of modern competence centres for the uncrewed aerial systems (UAS) industry.

Each centre will have an assigned area – selected through a competition – to enable the implementation of various types of UAS flights, including more complex BVLOS operations.

The competition criteria will be focused on selecting the most promising locations in terms of demand for drone services in the area covered by the centre while considering the possibility of conducting actual flights (airspace availability, population density, etc).

PANSA is inviting stakeholders to participate in surveys to shape the future drone market in Poland. Opinions received will help to shape the project and create optimal conditions for the development of drone technologies in Poland.

There are three online surveys, a full survey for those interested in an in-depth analysis of the topic; a shortened survey for UAS pilots/operators and training centres; and a short survey for entrepreneurs, local government units and public institutions.

The consultation will run until 1 December 2024.
