Overspace Aviation recently conducted two vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) missions at the Pianabella Vertiport in Italy, in cooperation with UrbanV and DL Droni. Flights were conducted within the Regulatory Sandbox at Fiumicino Airport, in accordance with Italian Civil Aviation Authority (ENAC) guidelines.
Overspace flew its VTOL Dragonfly DS-1 in distinct scenarios within the Sandbox perimeter, one in visual line of sight (VLOS) and another in extended visual line of sight (EVLOS), using the quadcopter flight mode and staying below the 36-metre altitude limit.
