New York uncrewed systems business accelerator selects five finalists

Five finalists have been selected for the GENIUS NY business accelerator for the uncrewed systems industry. 

GENIUS NY participants are required to commit to operating their business in Central New York for at least one year. The five teams will compete for USD3 million in direct investment, with one grand prize of up to USD1 million and four USD500,000 awards. 

The five finalists are:

  • INVOLI, headquartered in Lausanne, Switzerland, provides surveillance systems to aid the safety and efficiency of low-altitude airspace operations. 
  • Aviant of Oslo, Norway, uses drone technology to provide autonomous last-mile delivery solutions. 
  • Miami-based Aerialoop’s drones streamline deliveries by creating middle-mile networks between warehouses and stores.
  • Flyhound of New York helps public safety agencies locate and identify people in emergencies using their drone technology.
  • Crover, headquartered in Edinburgh, UK, develops uncrewed systems that move through grains and powders to monitor and manage grain storage.

Throughout the GENIUS NY programme, the teams will have access to CenterState CEO’s The Tech Garden, which includes workspace at Equitable Tower, experts and other founders specific to their industry, executive advisors, recruiting, marketing and fundraising support, programming and events, the opportunity to apply for the UAS Job Fund, as well as other benefits.
