New rules for civilian drone use in Slovak military zones

The director of the military aviation authority in Slovakia has signed new rules for civilians flying uncrewed aerial systems (UAS) in Slovak Military Zones.

“This change was necessary to ensure required security and safety compared to the civilian rules,” said Nofal Kattan in a post on LinkedIn. “Now, under some conditions, operators need to complete and provide SORA risk analysis, before we approve their operations.”

Kattan also said that Slovakia is in the process of creating state military UAS geozones.
