The Kenya Civil Aviation Authority (KCAA) has extended its deadline for its tender to supply the country with a national UAS traffic management (UTM) system from 18 January to 9 February.
A pre qualification notice was published on December 21 for the supply, delivery, configuration, testing and commission of an unmanned aircraft systems traffic management system.
In its tender clarification document the KCAA has said:
- The bidder must be an original equipment manufacturer of the system it is supplying
- The KCAA would prefer an on-premise (rather than cloud-based) UTM solution, with systems spares availability guarantees required.
- The winning bidders are expected to provide UAS trasnponders as part of the contract.
