Ireland’s Air Taurus conducts BVLOS test flights to Clare Island

Air Taurus Limited announced today, January 30, that it has successfully conducted beyond visual line of sight (BVLOS) test flights to Clare Island under PDRA (Pre-defined Risk Assessment) G02 Operational Authorisation from the Irish Aviation Authority (IAA).

IAA granted authorisation to Air Taurus in December, under the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) Regulation 2019/947, which governs the operation of uncrewed aircraft. It permits Air Taurus to operate drones in low-risk environments, supporting critical services such as logistics, medical supply deliveries, and other commercial applications.

Air Taurus aims to scale drone operations to improve efficiency and sustainability, particularly in addressing logistical challenges in rural and remote areas.
