ICAO has launched a new forum to post updates on the organisation’s ongoing developments in Unmanned Aviation and advanced air mobility (UAM) fields, as well as a space for the exchange of best practices, considerations, and related information about upcoming meetings and resources.
At ICAO’s 41st Assembly in 2022, the Organization was called to investigate advanced air mobility (AAM) in order to develop a better understanding of its impact on ICAO’s work and the aviation ecosystem as a whole.
As industries related to AAM, eVTOL, UAS, UTM, vertiports, and technical standards organizations continue to make advancements, ICAO’s global aviation leadership and role as a forum to exchange information and build global consensus will be key to developing a harmonized framework.
By positioning ICAO as a key stakeholder in the UA & AAM space and gathering information from ongoing activities in states and industry, the Organization can support its current mandate related to UA & AAM.
