Uncrewed Traffic Management (UTM) company High Lander has opened its first overseas office in Abu Dhabi. The company has strong connections with Abu Dhabi and its drone ecosystem. In January 2023, Abu Dhabi-based defence conglomerates Edge Group invested USD14 million in High Lander. The partnership provides access to group’s material and intellectual resources as well as opening the door to collaborations with its many subsidiaries, says High Lander.
Beyond EDGE, High Lander is involved with the UAE’s expanding drone economy by partnering with smaller local independent drone companies and working with the country’s public safety agencies too. The company expects its operations in the Emirati market to expand greatly over the next year. Kevin Peter is new the UAS Country Manager and official representative on the ground.
