The Polish air navigation service provider PANSA and GOF2 consortium partners are hosting an Integrated Urban Air Mobility Forum at Kąkolewo, Poland on October 14 – a one-day conference combined with UAV flight demonstrations.
Supporting the European concept of integrating drones with manned air traffic, the Polish Civil Aviation Authority is helping to finalise the legal solutions to support U-space in Europe.
One of the current challenges of all EU Member States is the effective transposition of EU regulations, in this case Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2021/664, into national law. U-space Regulation 2021/664 is the basis for the implementation of safe, mass and market-competitive drone services via the so-called U-space airspaces. Typically, the work includes aspects such as the transposition of the provisions of the Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2019/947 to ntroducing the so-called UAV geographical zones. In this way, Poland aims to create an environment for the further development of the UAV services market in Poland.
