In a YouTube video, Mike Powell of Elbit America’ has given details of the company’s new MATR-X Radar System which can track up to 10,000 threats on the ground and in the air at the same time, according to a company description of the new product.
“The national security challenge for the DoD today is a USX problem,” he said, “not just air but ground, surface and air. So we set out to design and build a next generation radar that can handle all three domains simultaneously.”
According to the company, the new system can maintain precision tracking of a DJI Phantom 4 at 6.4km.
