The European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) has launched the first survey for unmanned aircraft system (UAS) manufacturers (drones and kits) to assess the existing trends and future growth of the drone domain on the EU civil market. This information will be used to support the future development of the regulatory material on UAS. Manufacturers of drones that intend to be utilised their drones for professional activities should answer to this survey.
The survey looks at what types of drones are used in the EU market and how the market evolves. The data will be used to improve the regulatory framework to support a safe EU drone market.
EASA is encouraging manufacturers (designing drones and kits to be installed on drones, providing additional systems, such as parachutes, flight termination systems, etc.) to respond to the survey by February 9, 2024.
