DronePort Rotterdam and Security Delta team up for cybersecure UAS operations

DronePort Rotterdam and Security Delta (HSD) have formalised a partnership to coordinate and advance the use of uncrewed aerial systems (UAS) by boosting cybersecurity and digital resilience.

“Both DronePort Rotterdam and HSD are committed to fortifying the digital security of critical infrastructure in the Netherlands, including environments in and around the Port of Rotterdam, and offshore areas,” DronePort said in an April 22 press release. “This partnership focuses especially on the role that autonomous and uncrewed systems play in these developments – from real-time operations in port and city environments to secure handling of data and communications.”

The partners will work together to strengthen cybersecurity and digital resilience in UAS applications in operational contexts and set the agenda for innovations in crossover opportunities in the field of data, data security, cybersecurity, new drone technologies, new sectors, and areas of application. DronePort Rotterdam and HSD will also collaborate on events, training programmes, and knowledge development, while advancing national UAS and digital infrastructure development.
