CERBAIR and InnovATM provide C-UAS and UTM system for Rwanda’s Kigali Airport

CERBAIR has announced that it has installed its radio frequency detection system at Kigali International Airport in Rwanda.

The system is designed to detect both drones and their pilots without disrupting surrounding communications. CERBAIR’s RF detection is combined with InnovATM’s drone traffic management system to secure the airspace while also supporting drone operations across Rwanda. The combination enables the Rwandan Civil Aviation Authority to track collaborative drones as well as detect non-collaborative uncrewed aerial systems.

The completion of the first phase of the installation was marked by a live demonstration attended by key figures, including the Rwandan Minister of Infrastructure and the French Ambassador to Rwanda.
