Australia’s Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) invites expressions of interest for participation in a new ‘Future Strategies’ taskforce.
CASA is currently undertaking a future aviation horizon scanning activity to identify key technological and other developments that are expected to have significant impacts on Australia’s civil aviation operations over the coming 3-10 years. The scanning activity will inform CASA’s strategic regulatory planning to position CASA to provide timely regulatory support to Australian industry and the community. This work is being undertaken by a new ‘Future Strategies Taskforce’ in CASA.
The principal inputs are expected to be finalised prior to 31 May 2022.
CASA is seeking to identify suitably qualified and experienced individuals or organisations that CASA can draw on for input into horizon scanning and strategic planning activities. Diversity of expertise is important, and we encourage individuals and organisations with relevant skills, experience and qualifications to apply.
CASA will be accepting expressions of interest until the closing date of this process on 30 April 2022. CASA will use these submissions to inform subsequent procurement action. Contracts may be awarded to successful applicants as soon as they are added to the register, subject to the application of CASA’s procurement rules. Applications are encouraged to provide their submissions as soon as possible, and before the closing date.
Some immediate opportunities exist in the advanced air mobility field for applicants with relevant proven specialist expertise and current availability.
Submit a brief EOI in the format at any time until the end of 30 April 2022 to tenders@casa.gov.au. If you have any questions or concerns, contact our contracts and procurement team.
The initial round of submissions for expressing interest closes on 30 April 2022.
CASA’s activity in this field is likely to be ongoing beyond 30 June 2022, subject to future procurement activities.
