Uncrewed Traffic Management (UTM) technology providers Astra UTM, and partner SkyLink UAS, are preparing to launch a UTM platform to suit the Australian drone industry. The Astra UTM locally hosted Australian platform is designed to support the uptake of beyond visual line of sight (BVLOS) operations and suit all different size drone operations teams. The solution recognises the introduction of Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) new BVLOS exams for drone pilots provides tools and insights to deliver safe and productive BVLOS operations for drone service providers.
Astra UTM operates with low latency ADS-B and MLAT aircraft tracking, and low latency drone live tracking with proxy alerts. It is also designed to integrate with other drone technology platform providers.
