American Robotics secures FAA waiver for BVLOS operations

Ondas subsidiary American Robotics has secured an additional Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) waiver.

This new FAA waiver enables the company’s Optimus system, integrated with the Kestrel airspace management system, to perform expanded flights over people and moving vehicles from a centralised remote operations centre.

The company is completing the build-out of its new operations centre which will enable it to monitor and manage its systems globally and integrate its capabilities.

American Robotics is also hosting a Drone as a First Responder Day on January 16, where the capabilities of its UAS platforms and products will be demonstrated.
