Airways International’s Products team has achieved ISO27001 certification, the international standard for information security. This certification confirms the company’s commitment to protecting customers’ data and confidentiality, and provides confidence to customers that Airways has implemented robust measures to manage security risks and support resiliency and service availability.
The ISO27001 certification is a globally recognised standard for information security management issued by an independent international organisation with a membership of 170 countries.
Airways says obtaining this certification is an important milestone for a team delivering digital products such as air traffic control simulation solutions (TotalControl) and uncrewed traffic management (AirShare UTM) systems.
AIL’s Head of Products, Justine Whitfield says: “achieving ISO27001 certification shows our commitment to robust risk management practices and demonstrates how hard Airways is working to protect our customer data and our systems. Being part of an air navigation service provider, considering and managing risk is integral to who we are – and as our products are used operationally by air traffic controllers, security mitigations will remain an important ongoing focus.”
