Norway’s air navigation service provider Avinor has appointed Mats Gjertsen head of Unmanned Traffic Management (UTM) and counter unmanned aerial systems (C-UAS). Avinor selected Frequentis and Altitude Angel to provide a UTM system in 2020 as part of plans to create a nationwide UTM system. Mats Gjertsen was previously Avinor Flysikring C-UAS project manager and UTM coordinator.
