The role will support the UTM programme manager, providing specialist advice and expertise in support of program delivery including working on the Flight Information Management System (FIMS) project.
Responsibilities will include “contributing to strategy, ensuring compliance with evolving regulatory standards with uncertain assurance and certification processes, and working closely with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders”. The role will work closely with project teams to support the safe growth of the UAS industry in Australia.
Applicants will need at least three years’ experience in UTM and/or complex UAS operations, with a working knowledge of applicable safety risk management, aviation regulation and airspace frameworks. Airservices Australia also requires a “proven track record of leading projects through complex assurance pathways” as well as a “strong understanding of global UTM and UAS regulatory frameworks and relevant standards from international organisations such as ICAO, EASA, FAA, JARUS, ATSM and ISO”.
