A comparison graphic shown at the World ATM Global Congress earlier today by Koen De Vos, Secretary General of the Global UTM Association (GUTMA) shows the relative speed of UTM/U-space regulatory development between the European Union (EU), the USA, Japan and Australia.
The graphic is a dynamic illustration of regulatory developments, comparing regions of the world and will be updated as new rules are published. The EU is the only region where UTM/U-space deployment has a concrete deadline – January 2023. “Having such a deadline brings a real momentum and regulatory certainty,” said Koen De Vos.
