US Navy set to award sole source EAGLS C-UAS contract to MSI Defense

A US Navy notice posted on the official US procurement portal SAM.gov says that the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) Direct and Time Sensitive Strike Programme intends to issue a sole source contract modification to MSI Defense Solutions, LLC. This is for Electronic Advanced Ground Launcher (EAGLS) counter- uncrewed aerial system (C-UAS) testing, initial spares, support equipment, engineering and technical support, maintenance support, and Field Service Representative (FSR) system support which-includes tasking for maintenance, training, technical consultation/advising, development/update of technical manuals and associated support.

“For this proposed action, the government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source,” the notice states. “MSI is the sole designer, developer, manufacturer, and integrator of the EAGLS C-UAS and therefore is the only source with the requisite knowledge, experience, and technical data of the EAGLS C-UAS design, operation, and maintenance to successfully meet the government’s requirements on a timely basis and in a cost effective manner.”

However, interested parties may identify their interest and capability by responding to the requirement.
