Indian Army seeks tank-mounted C-UAS

The Indian Army has issued a Request for Information (RFI) for the acquisition of counter-uncrewed aerial systems (C-UAS) technology. The army is looking to deploy approximately 75 systems on its Russian-origin T-72 and T-90 tanks. The systems should be equipped with both soft kill and hard kill capabilities, the RFI states.

Ideally, the C-UAS should be effective against all types of drone as well as drone swarms. Systems are also required to be lightweight and modular and should not require the removal of any parts of the tanks.
