The U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command Aviation & Missile Center’s Aviation & Missile Technology Consortium has down-selected BlueHalo as one of two vendors to move forward for the development of the Next-Generation Counter-Uncrewed Aerial System (C-UAS) Missile (NGCM).
BlueHalo revealed its NGCM in October in response to the US government request for new C-UAS missile technology to meet the growing threat. The system has been designed to provide increased lethality and range against Group 3 UAS and other larger air threats as well as offering Short-Range Air Defence (SHORAD) capabilities. It can be integrated with existing infrastructure and command and control systems.
