Ukraine tests drone interceptor to target Orlan UAS

Multiple Ukrainian media outlets report that a new drone interceptor from national manufacturer Vinnytski Bdzholy has recently completed interagency testing.

The VB140 Flamingo works at a height of up to 4.5 km and in a range of up to 50 km. The company says that the system is effective against Russian reconnaissance uncrewed aerial systems or ‘scouts’ such as Orlan. During testing, it detected, pursued, and neutralised such UAS.

The reports quote the company as saying that other systems are currently in development, including an interceptor drone to target Shahed systems.
