Singapore’s DSTA and Thales team up to reduce false alarms in drone detection

Singapore’s Defence Science and Technology Agency (DSTA) and Thales have co-developed machine-learning-enabled software modules that are designed to reduce the rate of false alarms in drone detection systems.

The modules could potentially be integrated into systems currently in-use with the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF).

By enhancing a radar’s sensor performance with the help of AI, the algorithms can provide operators and end-users with heightened situational awareness.
