OpenWorks Engineering is looking for a creative senior business development manager with responsibility for UK and international markets. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to take a proactive and leading role in developing business strategies and creating action plans covering the complete sales life cycle enabling us to grow our existing and new offerings into markets internationally. The successful candidate is expected to have wide experience and a track record of developing successful and profitable business campaigns and sales in the defence and security market and, ideally, with specific experience and knowledge of optical systems.
Responsibilities include:
- Leading the identification and development of business winning strategies and campaigns to secure new orders and to grow the business internationally.
- Take responsibility and ownership for opportunities from concept through to profitability to achieve sustainable market growth.
- Lead the creation of winning bids and proposals.
- Develop pricing strategies for equipment and ILS.
- Develop leads into opportunities by working closely with the end-user community.
- Supporting existing customers.
- Work collaboratively with strategic and distribution partners around the world.
- Representing the company in a wide range of environments including formal presentations, expert panel discussions and one-to-one meetings.
- Global travel. We need our sales team to enjoy the challenge of travelling to continue our international success, capable of engaging with a wide range of cultures and characters, from senior military leaders to scientists and engineers.
- Comply with company processes and UK and international laws.
OpenWorks Engineering is a high-tech company which designs and manufactures a range of products sold internationally to security and defence authorities aimed at countering the growing threats posed by drones. The SkyWall and SkyTrack technologies are already in use worldwide with the company’s autonomous optical systems due to reach new customers in new markets in 2023.
