MyDefence has announced the launch of its Spectrum Warrior upgrade to its military drone detection system.
“This advanced AI-powered solution marks a significant innovation of the company’s widely deployed Wingman drone detection units, which have had over 2,000 units deployed in high-risk areas, such as the ongoing conflict in Ukraine,” said the company in a press release. “This large-scale deployment has provided critical frontline data and insights, steering the development of Spectrum Warrior to give soldiers a critical tool to detect, identify, and neutralize drone threats with precision and efficiency, addressing the rapidly growing challenges of electronic warfare.
“The development of Spectrum Warrior stems from a close partnership with soldiers operating in conflict zones, such as Ukraine, where MyDefence has provided 2,000 of its Wingman drone detection units. This collaboration has allowed MyDefence to refine and advance its technology based on the real-world experiences and challenges faced by troops on the ground.
“Spectrum Warrior offers AI-enhanced frequency surveillance for detecting drones across a wide range of radio frequencies. It captures critical signals and integrates with the Android Tactical Awareness Kit (ATAK) and similar systems for improved threat detection, situational awareness, and battlefield coordination. Designed for soldiers in high-threat environments, the system improves detection, response times, and unit collaboration. Spectrum Warrior is built with continuous development and multiple releases per year to follow the constantly evolving threat landscape, ensuring that the user is one step ahead of emerging challenges.
“The first Wingman upgrade with Spectrum Warrior features is now available.”
