MARSS marks eight-year partnership with Echodyne

At this week’s Special Operations Forces Exhibition and Conference (SOFEX) in Amman, Jordan, MARSS is celebrating its long partnership with counter-drone radar provider Echodyne.

MARSS has now worked with Echodyne for more than eight years, being one of its original test partners for its first commercial products. MARSS now uses Echodyne’s radar solutions across its portfolio – including its NiDAR X Compact air and surface threat detection system, and NiDAR X-Scout rapidly deployable sensing and countermeasures platform, as well as its RADiRguard perimeter surveillance system.

Echodyne radars, which have a small form factor and low weight, are designed to detect, track, and classify uncrewed aerial systems as well as other air and surface threats. The pairing of Echodyne’s patent-protected MESA® radars with MARSS’ AI-powered NiDAR platform, which fuses data from multiple sensors into a single interface, provides users with the ability to adapt the radar’s configuration to suit mission requirements. Rob Balloch, Chief Growth Officer with MARSS explained that this flexibility enables a mobile platform, such as MARSS’ NiDAR X Terra, to provide perimeter surveillance along a country border and be positioned at a sports stadium to protect against hostile drones the following day.
