The United States Department of Defense (DoD) has announced additional security assistance to meet Ukraine’s critical security and defence needs.
Making the announcement, President Biden said the package includes “counter-drone equipment and anti-armor missiles to defend against Russia’s evolving tactics on the battlefield”.
This latest round of military aid is the Biden Administration’s sixty-fourth tranche of equipment to be provided from DoD inventories for Ukraine since August 2021. The package has an estimated total value of USD125 million. In addition to the C-UAS technology, it will include ammunition, Javelin and AT-4 anti-armour systems, ambulances, medical equipment and spare parts.
