EDGE Group and Leonardo have signed a collaboration agreement to strengthen their partnership in developing solutions across six critical domains – including counter-uncrewed aerial systems (C-UAS) technology.
The agreement establishes a strategic framework for the UAE market while advancing a global export strategy. In addition to C-UAS, the collaboration will also focus on airborne capabilities including radar, missile defence, mobile surveillance, naval combat management systems, radio communications and optronics.
A press statement says the agreement is “a precursor to a structured partnership focused on jointly marketing these products and solutions to governments across multiple countries”. It also commits to the development of shared intellectual property (IP) and future design innovations.
