Bulgarian defence technology provider Hades is developing a lower cost counter-drone system similar to the US-made Vampire, several of which have been supplied to Ukraine.
Hades’ multiple launch rocket system (MLRS) is designed to deploy repurposed 57 mm rockets without guidance. The rockets are fitted with a time fuse enabling them to detonate at a pre-determined time, unlike the Vampire that uses precision guidance.
The modular system can be mounted on light vehicles and is capable of engaging multiple aerial threats simultaneously.
