DJI has discontinued production and sale of its AeroScope drone detection and identification system.
The system – which has been bought by airports, infrastructure provider and police services the world over – “is a comprehensive drone detection platform that rapidly identifies UAV communication links, gathering information such as flight status, paths, and other information in real-time,” according a description of the product on its website.
AeroScope has been a controversial product for DJI. In August 2022 the company ceased production of its portable version (https://www.unmannedairspace.info/latest-news-and-information/dji-pulls-portable-version-of-its-aeroscope-drone-detection-system/) and has had to deny accusations that its service availability has favoured Russian troops in the Ukrainian war and that there have been security flaws in its data identification capabilities.
