EDGE Group has signed a strategic letter of intent with the Brazilian Navy, through the Navy’s Weapons Systems Directorate, detailing the joint development of counter-uncrewed aerial systems (C-UAS) technologies.
The two parties will establish a joint working group of technical experts to develop and deploy C-UAS tailored to naval defence needs. These systems will incorporate sensors such as radars and electro-optical technologies, combined with signal jamming capabilities to neutralise threats from autonomous air and surface vehicles.
