BlueHalo has shared details of its participation in Desert Guardian 1.0, an integrated counter-drone sensor demonstration hosted by US Central Command (CENTCOM) at Fort Drum, New York. During Desert Guardian 1.0, BlueHalo demonstrated its integrated counter-uncrewed aerial system (C-UAS) sensors across multiple modalities, tracked and integrated through VigilantHalo, the company’s software-driven platform for real-time airspace Command-and-Control (C2).
VigilantHalo takes data from multiple, disparate sensors and systems then filters, analyses, and displays them on a “single pane of glass” to provide airspace awareness, track beyond visual line of sight (BVLOS) UAS and air threats, reduce cognitive workloads, support decision-making, and shorten response times. The integrated C2 system is built on a secure, micro-service architecture that can be served to cloud, mobile, and fixed-site installations. Its design supports multiple missions, including air traffic control and C-UAS for military, federal, state, municipal, and commercial applications.
James Batt, BlueHalo’s chief growth officer, said CENTCOM’s Desert Guardian 1.0 gave BlueHalo the opportunity to present VigilantHalo’s airspace C2 and C-UAS capabilities within real-world conditions for command leaders and operators who will use these tools daily.
The company’s Space and Products president, Mary Clum, added that the event enabled BlueHalo to collaborate with industry as well as government agencies to further drive innovation to protect warfighters in the CENTCOM region.
