Allen Control Systems’ Bullfrog defeats drone swarm during US Army test

Allen Control Systems (ACS) has announced the successful demonstration of its Bullfrog robotic weapon station against a drone swarm at Project Convergence Capstone 5 (PCC5), held from February 26 to March 16 at Fort Irwin, California.

Bullfrog is designed to transform legacy or modern weapons into precision-targeting systems using artificial intelligence, computer vision and proprietary control systems, thereby increasing their accuracy against uncrewed threats. During Project Convergence, Bullfrog engaged its largest drone swarm to date, confirming kills on all seven drone targets within range during a breach scenario.

In an April 10 press release, ACS said more than 40 soldiers from multiple military occupational specialties became fully qualified on Bullfrog in under 30 minutes. The company added that the system transitioned from storage to operational readiness in less than two minutes.
