Autonomous drone manufacturer Airobotics (a subsidiary of Ondas Holdings) reports completion of the acquisition of Iron-Drone, a company specializing in the development of autonomous counter-drone systems. Together with Airobotics’ Optimus System drone, the companies will offer a government-grade drone solution for security and critical infrastructure protection and monitoring.
This transaction targets growth in rapidly expanding public safety, homeland security, and defense markets. The combined technologies will provide customers in smart city, defense, and industrial markets with an integrated security platform capable of intercepting hostile drones in various areas such as airports, populated areas, critical infrastructure, according to the press release.
