A new partnership combining UAS traffic management with drone detection and mitigation aims to deliver “single-point situational awareness” to managed airspace for users such as national governments and airport operators. The joint offering integrates Altitude Angel’s GuardianUTM traffic management system with DroneShield’s multi-sensor detection products into a single system designed to enable mitigation of unwanted drones. It provides aerodrome towers or those tasked with managing airspace with a single-source picture of the sky and enables operators to distinguish between known, authorised operations, and unknown, potential threats. Consequently, responses can be executed without disrupting existing authorised activities. Having a clear understanding of who or what is in the air enables informed decisions and appropriate responses.
