The European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) plans to have its first, draft high level regulations covering U-space operations published by the end of 2019, according to Maria Algar-Ruiz, coordinator of all U-space activities at EASA, speaking at the second meeting of the U-Space Network of Demonstrators, in Brussels, Belgium on 1 February 2019.
The draft high level regulatory framework will include definition of services, requirements by member States and requirements for services providers – ATM and UTM.
“The Network of Demonstrators will be invited to the different stakeholder consultation workshops and to the consultation phase of the regulatory proposal,” said Maria Algar-Ruiz.
