Eurocontrol and the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) will hold a webinar on UTM on 28 January 2019.
At the start of 2018, Eurocontrol held a series of webinars in partnership with EASA addressing relevant topics that needed to be analysed to keep drone operations safe and efficient in Europe’s busy airspace. As an outcome, Eurocontrol produced three discussion documents for the UAS community on the topics of UAS ATM flight rules, Airspace Assessment and Common Altitude Reference Systems.
EASA is organising a webinar to help create a common understanding of the content of these documents and agree on their future evolution.
The ultimate objective is to create a solid set of guidance material – a set of ‘living’ documents, which will evolve with the needs and experiences of the UAS community. “We invite representatives from all corners of the global UAS community, including Civil Aviation Authorities, Air Navigation Service Providers, Industry, Aerospace and Defence, UAS end users, Consultant companies, Legal experts and Policy companies to join the discussion,” says the agency.
