IN-FLIGHT Data certified for BVLOS flights under Canada’s new regulations

Transport Canada has approved IN-FLIGHT Data as one of Canada’s first certified remotely piloted aircraft systems (RPAS) operators under the country’s new beyond visual line of sight (BVLOS) regulations.

The RPAS Operator Certificate gives the company the authority to conduct low-risk BVLOS operations across Canada, including extended range missions and those requiring complex airspace coordination.

IN-FLIGHT Data has logged thousands of safe BVLOS flight hours and worked closely with regulators to achieve the certification and help shape the new rules..

The company said the approval will enable it to conduct operations such as infrastructure inspections, public safety monitoring and environmental assessments without boots on the ground.
